Sen. Sampson: Senate ‘Clean Air’ Measure Stinks of Government Overreach (4/26/22)

Senator Sampson Speaks in opposition of S.B. 4: An Act Concerning the Clean Air Act. In his floor speech, he outlines how the bill will infringe on the rights of property owners and open commerce in the state.

 

Senator Sampson introduced an amendment to improve the legislation by restoring the individual rights of landlords impacted by the legislation. As written, the measure forces these property owners to allow certain tenants to install Electric Vehicle charging stations on their property. The amendment was defeated along party lines.
