Sen. John A. Kissel on Jan. 27 joined with Senate Republicans at the State Capitol to unveil a plan to reduce drug overdose deaths.

The plan calls for:

• tougher criminal penalties for dealers
• increased awareness of the dangers of Fentanyl
• a plan to be developed by the CT Board of Education for municipalities to offer the overdose-reversing drug Naloxone to schools.
