Public Notice: Redistricting Public Hearings

Representative Gregory Haddad (D-54^th District) and Senator Kevin Kelly (R-21^st District), co-chairs of the state’s Reapportionment Committee, announce upcoming hearings.

The purpose of redistricting is to establish and maintain voting districts that are faithful to the principle of one-person, one-vote. In Connecticut, responsibility for redrawing legislative and congressional district lines generally rests with the General Assembly.

The public will have an opportunity to present testimony to the Committee about their thoughts for new district boundaries for Congress, State Senate and State House.
