Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 10 in Southington and Plainville

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on a 2-mile segment of Route 10 from .01 miles south of the Quinnipiac River overpass to .04 miles north of Route 372 in Southington and Plainville.

The milling portion will occur on Sunday, August 1, 2021, to Wednesday, August 11, 2021. The resurfacing portion will occur on Thursday, August 19, 2021, to Tuesday, August 31, 2021.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2021 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday – Thursday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
