Sen. Kelly Statement on House Plans to Vote on Outdoor Dining Extension Bill Today

March 25, 2021

Kelly: “There’s no reason we can’t do the same for other orders. We don’t need to extend the Governor’s powers today.”

HARTFORD – Senate Republican Leader Kevin Kelly (R-Stratford) released the following statement regarding today’s plans in the House of Representatives to vote on an amendment to House Bill 6610 which will continue the expansion of outdoor dining in Connecticut restaurants.

“The House voting on these changes today shows that when lawmakers want to accomplish something quickly, they can get it done. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. There is no reason we can’t do the same for all other executive orders. We don’t need to extend the Governor’s powers today. We need to get to work.”
