Sen. Kelly on Consensus Revenues: “We must make CT more affordable for middle class families.”

January 15, 2021

Senate Republican Leader Kevin Kelly today issued the following statement regarding the Jan. 15 consensus revenue estimates:

“While it is good news that Connecticut’s revenues seem to be improving and the Republican budget passed in 2017 continues to bear fruit, we must proceed with caution. Small businesses are shutting their doors, unemployment remains high and we still have billion-dollar out-year deficits. We must resist the urge to raise taxes and continue to reduce the cost and size of government. We must make Connecticut more affordable for middle class families.”
