Gov. Lamont’s “plan” to address this year’s budget shortfall is to take over $1.8 billion from the rainy day fund, not making any significant changes to state expenses. Paired with even bigger deficits projected for future years, the result will leave us broke and Democrats will soon be asking for tax increases claiming we have no other option.
