Thank you to all who have spoken out about your recent electric bill increases and the response of Eversource and United Illuminating to Tropical Storm Isaias. There are now more opportunities to weigh in:
1) Energy & Technology Committee Listening Session

• Testify Virtually
  The General Assembly’s Energy & Technology Committee is holding a listening session on a proposed bill to address storm response and regulation of the state’s electric utilities. The virtual meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 8 from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM.You must register to testify using the On-line Testimony Registration Form. Registration will CLOSE on Monday, September 7th at 12:00 PM. Speaker order of approved registrants will be posted on the Energy and Technology Committee website. If you do not have internet access, you may provide testimony via telephone. 2) Final PURA Public Comment Hearing on Eversource Rate Hikes

• Testify Virtually
  The final PURA public comment hearing will be held via Zoom on September 10 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. To register, all members of the public should submit their information to the OCC through this Online Registration Form. Likewise, consumers may contact the OCC via email at [email protected] or by telephone at 860-827-2900. • Submit Written Testimony
  PURA is still accepting written public comment and those Eversource customers who wish to comment in writing are encouraged to submit their written comment to PURA via e-mail at [email protected] referencing Docket No. 20-01-01.

3) SAVE THE DATE: PURA Public Comment Hearings on Eversource & Response to Tropical Storm Isaias

PURA has scheduled three public comment hearings for October 21st, 22nd, and 23rd at which time the public will have the opportunity to comment on Eversource and United Illuminating’s responses to Tropical Storm Isaias. More information will be shared on how to testify as the hearings get closer.
