Read my Testimony on COVID-19 Nursing Home & Public Health Issues

Today a virtual listening session was hosted by the Appropriations Committee, Public Health Committee and Human Services Committee to discuss COVID-19 related issues impacting public health and nursing homes.

I submitted testimony to the three committees raising concerns, sharing ideas, and urging the committees to include the Aging Committee in a more comprehensive approach to help the most vulnerable in our state during the Coronavirus pandemic.

The issues I raised include:

1. Combating Resurgence in Nursing Homes
2. Communication and Visitation Policies in Nursing Homes
3. Codifying Executive Orders into Statute
4. Nursing Home Funding & Staffing Levels, and
5. Health Equity
