Very proud of these New Britain student artists!
February 7, 2020
I was so pleased to join students from Smith Elementary School, New Britain educators, area lawmakers and New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart today at the State Capitol.
In honor of African American History Month, the Connecticut General Assembly’s Commission on Women, Children and Seniors is hosting its Annual Art Exhibit in the Capitol Concourse.
This year, the Commission is featuring artwork from students from Smith!
The artwork will be displayed in the concourse through February 14.
The commission hosted a reception for the students and as well as a conversation about art and African American History.
We are all very proud of these student artists!
