In the News: Formica aims to strengthen CT Tourism through conversations and options

February 4, 2020

The Arts, Culture, and Tourism Caucus meeting held Tuesday, January 28, Senator Paul Formica (R-20) set the tone for a more collaborative, functional structure of the Connecticut’s tourism boards.

Formica suggested regionalizing – perhaps allowing representatives to serve multiple towns.  The suggestion of that option was received well by the various districts.  Formica insisted that regionalizing should be an option available to interested towns, not a requirement.

Also, Formica reaffirmed his commitment to aiding state tourism by carving out weekend time to continue discussions ahead of the warmer months.
