Senator Witkos Honores Simsbury Veteran

Senator Witkos recently presented Simsbury resident and U.S. Navy Veteran Len Lanza with a citation on behalf of the General Assembly in recognition of his recent induction into the Connecticut Veterans Hall of Fame.

Lanza is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, former teacher and principal of several Simsbury schools, and former Superintendent of Barkhamsted, Colebrook, Norfolk schools.  In addition, Lanza has been a longtime member of the Simsbury Metacomet VFW Post 1926 and American Legion Post 84, serving as past commander of both organizations.

“I was thrilled to present Len with a citation in recognition of this amazing honor.  His service to our nation, our state, and Simsbury is admired and respected by many.  Len epitomizes what it means to be a public servant and his inclusion in the Connecticut Veterans Hall of Fame is well deserved” said Senator Witkos.
