Formica Statement on Congressional Candidate’s Offensive Twitter Comments

State Senator Paul Formica (R-East Lyme)released the following statement in response to a social media comment made by Connecticut Congressional candidate Robert Hyde about Senator Kamala Harris.

“I am outraged by the comments made on Twitter by Mr. Hyde. This language and behavior has no place in politics and both parties should condemn his comments. I am calling on Mr. Hyde to immediately apologize and remove himself as a Congressional candidate. The level of disrespect displayed, and the manner in which the remarks were made, assure me that Mr. Hyde has no business representing my Republican Party or the state of Connecticut in Congress. Shame on you, Mr. Hyde.”
