On Saturday November 9th, State Senator Craig Miner participated in the re-dedication of the Canaan’s Union Station in North Canaan, CT. Sen. Miner and Rep. Maria Horn presented a General Assembly Citation to the Connecticut Railroad Historical Association for restoring the station. The Connecticut Railroad Historical Association bought Union Station in 2004. It had been the oldest operating station in the United States until a few short years ago. It is called Union Station because it is where East meets West and North meets South.
