A successful flag collection, thanks to you.

Rep. William Petit Jr. and I have been collecting flags throughout New Britain, Berlin, Farmington and Plainville.

We delivered more than 300 flags to the VFW Post 511 in New Britain yesterday so that they could be properly retired.

We thank area residents for helping us with this successful collection, and we say “thank you” to ALL our veterans!
