Senator Witkos to host Coyote Awareness Forum

October 8, 2019

Senator Witkos  has announced plans to host a coyote awareness forum on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019 at the Simsbury Public Library Program Room.  The forum will begin at 7:00pm and conclude at 8:30pm.

“Over the past several weeks I have been contacted by several constituents concerned about the increased amount of coyote sightings and interactions with people and pets. In light of this, I thought it would be both helpful and informative to offer residents the chance to learn more about coyotes and their behavior and have the chance to ask questions from the experts at the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and local Animal Control Officers.  I am hopeful that residents will take this opportunity to learn more about this species” said Senator Witkos.

The forum will feature presenters Chris Vann, of the Department of Energy & Environmental Protection wildlife division, and Simsbury Animal Control Officer Mark Rudewicz.
