State Senator Rob Sampson Statement re: Democrats’ Forced School Regionalization Schemes

Hartford—State Senator Rob Sampson released the following statement on Democrats’ bills to force school district consolidation.

“I was excited to see many members of the communities I represent at the Capitol today, speaking in opposition to the “forced” regionalization of school districts” said Sen. Sampson. “ Despite claims by the advocates of these policies, nothing about any of these regionalization schemes has anything to do with ‘efficiency.’ The poorly hidden intent is to simply to reduce local control of education, including both the allocation of funds and policy making.”
