Sen. Berthel Mourns the Loss of Representative Ezequiel Santiago
March 15, 2019HARTFORD – Senate Republican Leader Len Fasano (R-North Haven) and State Senator Eric Berthel (R-Watertown), ranking member of the Banks Committee, released the following statements on the passing of State Representative Ezequiel Santiago.
“My heart goes out to the family and friends of Representative Ezequiel Santiago,” said Sen. Fasano. “There are no words to express the shock and sadness upon hearing of his passing. Representative Santiago was a dedicated lawmaker and tireless advocate for his community. He was passionate about improving Bridgeport and helping people. He was easy to talk to and always open to working together. He never let partisan politics get in the way of conversation and progress. Representative Santiago will be deeply missed and remembered as a caring, thoughtful legislator who earned the respect of everyone he crossed paths with. The entire Senate Republican Caucus extends our deepest sympathies to his loved ones. We are honored to have served alongside Ezequiel.”
