Sen. Logan Receives “Legislator of the Year” Award from CT Firefighters

Sen. George S. Logan has received the “Legislator of the Year” award from the 26,000-member Connecticut State Firefighters Association.

The Connecticut State Firefighters Association honored Sen. Logan for his advocacy on behalf of the Valley Fire School, his participation in the Fire/EMS Caucus, and his legislative proposal to help to increase racial diversity in the hiring of firefighters statewide.

“I’m humbled to receive this recognition, but the fact is that our firefighters are heroes who put their lives on the line every day,” Sen. Logan said.  “They do it to protect our loved ones, our communities, and our property.  At the State Capitol, I will continue to do all I can to help them do the jobs that they do so well.”

Sen. Logan received the honor at the Connecticut State Firefighters Association’s Sep. 15 convention at Company One, Avon Fire Department.

Sen. Logan can be reached at [email protected] or 800-842-1421.  Sen. Logan (www.SenatorGeorgeLogan.com) represents Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Bethany, Derby, Hamden, Naugatuck and Woodbridge.
