Plymouth – State Senator Henri Martin (R-31) today visited The Nutmeg Spice Company in Terryville to see how this local business adds flavor to life.

“Spices play such an important role in the foods we eat every day, but we don’t always think about where they come from or what it takes to prepare them for use,” Sen. Martin said. “Nutmeg Spice Co. is a great local business full of people who are dedicated and enjoy what they do. The tour of their facility and processes was eye-opening.”

Nutmeg Spice Co. has been preparing high-quality herbs and spices at fair prices for more than 17 years. It mixes and bottles products that can be found in 49 states.

“One of my favorite parts of being a legislator is meeting the business owners and workers I represent and talking about ways we can help businesses grow in Connecticut,” Sen. Martin said. “We have a wonderful variety of businesses in Connecticut. You never know what you will find in your own back yard. Nutmeg Spice is the pick of the crop.”

Senator Martin represents the communities of Bristol, Harwinton, Plainville, Plymouth, and Thomaston.
