Now they want a “Carbon Tax” in CT? Really?
March 9, 2018I want to let you know about a proposed bill that would lead to higher CT energy costs and how you can help me defeat this measure.
Bill 5363 would create a “Carbon Tax” in Connecticut.
The “Carbon Tax” would be added to virtually every form of energy used by state residents.
This bill would:
- Further increase the cost of electricity, home heating oil, propane, natural gas, diesel fuel, and gasoline
- Be a NEW tax on every business and person in the state
- Be a backdoor way to tax us for miles driven in our vehicles – effectively a Mileage Tax
- Be another attempt to balance the state budget on the backs of seniors, vulnerable people on fixed incomes, and those trying to raise a family in our already very expensive state.
The bill could be devastating.
Connecticut already has among highest energy prices in the country, so please speak out!
