Make Your Voice Heard – Tolls Public Hearing Announced
March 9, 2018Next week the Transportation Committee will take up legislation concerning the resurrection of tolls in Connecticut. Instead of prioritizing current resources, this is yet another money grab on already overtaxed residents. We must consider ways to fund transportation without asking more from state taxpayers who have already been drained enough.
These four bills will be heard next week – all about tolling CT Roadways:
- SB 389 AN ACT ESTABLISHING THE CONNECTICUT TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY
- HB 5046 AN ACT CONCERNING THE SUSTAINABILITY OF TRANSPORTATION PROJECTS
- HB 5391 AN ACT CONCERNING TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE
- HB 5393 AN ACT ESTABLISHING THE CONNECTICUT TRANSPORTATION FINANCE AUTHORITY TO MAINTAIN MAJOR STATE HIGHWAYS
These tolls could be everywhere if this legislation passes, please join me in speaking out against tolls!
