Friday, Jan. 12 in New Haven: A Concert for a Good Cause

ANSONIA – Here’s a chance to see State Sen. George Logan in a different light.

On Friday night the Senator will take off his tie, remove his two-piece suit and forget about the state budget for a few hours.

Instead he’ll dust off his wide brim hat with the flowing purple ribbon, grab his Fender Stratocaster and perform some of Jimi Hendrix greatest hits.

He’ll even strum behind his back and maybe, just maybe if convinced, with his teeth.

At 8:45 p.m. Logan and his Electric Lady Band which includes, his brother, Hector, a state probation supervisor in Manchester and their friend, Chris Dolan, an English teacher at Fairfield Warde High School, will take the stage at Toad’s Place, 300 York Street, New Haven.

They will open for the Riders on the Storm, a Doors tribute band.

Electric Lady performed at Rock the Valley last August and their videos are on You Tube.

Proceeds from their performance will benefit the Naugatuck Food Bank.
