State Senator Paul Formica samples local cuisine at the New London Custom House during the New London Main Street 2017 Fall Food Stroll that took place on Wednesday in New London.

On October 11 residents, local businesses and community leaders gathered in New London to celebrate the city’s downtown restaurants at the New London Main Street Fall Food Stroll. The annual event showcases downtown restaurants and retailers as attendees move from restaurant to restaurant sampling food in each.

This year, State Senator Paul Formica (R-East Lyme) participated as a judge tasting, scoring and ranking local dishes. He was joined by Chef Tomm Johnson of New London High School, USN Senior Chief Culinary Specialist Mark Shipley and Tracy Tremblay, president of the board for New London Main Street.
