(Watch) CT Taxpayers: Want To Really Make a Difference?
July 13, 2017Please watch and share the News 8 story below.
The state legislature’s failure to do its job and pass a budget is negatively impacting vulnerable seniors in Naugatuck and throughout our state.
The Senate Republican budget solution – www.NewDirectionCT.com – protects funding for services for at-risk residents.
And our line-by-line Senate Republican budget is ready to be voted on – now.
The state legislature is in Special Session.
The Democratic Speaker of the House and the Democratic Senate President Pro Tempore must sign an Emergency Certification in order for a bill to be debated and voted upon.
Without those signatures, Republicans are blocked from even having the argument about our budget solution.
What can you do?
- Call your state legislators. (House Democrats: 860 240-8500) (Senate Democrats: 860 240-8600)
- Urge them to tell legislative leaders to “Sign the Emergency Certification”
- Urge them to “Allow a debate on the Senate Republican Budget.”
- Tell them, “If you don’t have a solution, you should not deny CT Republicans the right to argue in favor of their solutions.”
- Send me your comments at [email protected] .
