Senator Somers Hosts Monthly Coffee Hour in Stonington

HARTFORD, Conn. – Today State Senator Heather Somers (R-Groton) hosted a coffee hour at Mia’s Café in Stonington to discuss legislative issues with constituents.

“As a State Senator I feel that it is important that I make myself available to my constituents,” said Sen. Somers. “This way if my constituents have any concerns or questions we can talk about them in person over a nice hot cup of coffee.”

Sen. Somers represents the 18th District which includes the communities of Griswold, Groton, North Stonington, Plainfield, Preston, Sterling, Stonington and Voluntown. Sen. Somers serves as the Co-Chair of the Public Health Committee, Vice-Chair of the Education Committee, Vice-Chair of the Environment Committee, Vice-Chair of the Higher Education Committee and is a member of the Appropriations Committee.
