Pressure is building for the state to borrow $250 million to upgrade the XL Center in Hartford.
According to a report by Channel 8 News, “the Governor says the cost is justified and can be stretched out over a period of years by bonding and using the state credit card.”
State payments on interest and principle for past borrowing are already at all-time highs.
Despite the two largest tax increases in Connecticut history, we face a $1.5 billion budget hole.
