Nighttime Bridge Maintenance, I-95 Northbound and Southbound from Madison to Old Saybrook

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 NB & SB from Madison to Old Saybrook, beginning Monday November 28, 2016.

The project consists of bridge maintenance on I-95 NB & SB on the bridges listed below, from Madison to Old Saybrook. This project is scheduled to occur from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2016 to the morning of Friday, December 23, 2016.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2016 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Mohawk Northeast Inc.

LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect various lane closures on I-95 NB & SB in the towns of Madison, Clinton, Westbrook and Old Saybrook between Exit 61 and Exit 70 in the NB direction and between Exit 70 & Exit 61 in the SB direction Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday- Friday) Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
