LOCAL LAWMAKERS IN ATTENDANCE AT GROUNDBREAKING FOR NEW HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER

Winsted – State Reps. Tim LeGeyt (R-17), Bill Simanski (R-62) and Senator Kevin Witkos (R-8) recently joined state and local officials at the groundbreaking for the new Joyner Health Science Center at Northwestern Connecticut Community College. The new 24,400 square foot state-of-the-art facility will contain the Veterinary Technology and Allied Health Programs, including a surgical suite, an X-Ray area, an animal dental area, a mock reception area, general classrooms, a hematology laboratory and a computer lab.
Completion is scheduled for June 2017.

Northwestern Connecticut Community College was founded in 1965. Its student body consists of approximately 1,500 students.
