State Lawmakers & NFIB Host Small Business Roundtable in Simsbury

Thursday January 28th from 8:00 am- 9:30am

SimsburyState Senator Kevin Witkos (R-Canton), Senate Minority Leader Pro Tempore, and Representative John Hampton (D-Simsbury), Assistant Majority Leader, will host a small business roundtable discussion in Simsbury on January 28th from 8:00am-9:30am at Simsbury Bank located at 86 Hopmeadow Street. The event is organized by NFIB and hosted in partnership with Simsbury Bank to give local small businesses an opportunity to meet with their state lawmakers to discuss issues that will soon be debated during the 2016 Connecticut legislative session. Discussion topics will include the cost of doing business in Connecticut, taxes, paid leave laws, and other issues of concern to local business owners.

WHY: To give local small businesses an opportunity to meet with their state lawmakers to discuss issues that will soon be debated during the 2016 Connecticut legislative session. Legislators need to know the impact of the laws they vote on in Hartford and this meeting serves as an opportunity to pass along any concerns or comments.
