Sen. Fasano Letter: Urge lawmakers to enact a cap on state spending

December 28, 2015

Rep-Am Letter from Sen. Fasano

Connecticut government has a spending problem (Dec. 23 editorial, “Inexcusably toothless cap”).

That problem can be controlled by implementing the constitutional spending cap, which 80 percent of Connecticut voters supported in 1992.

Republicans support enacting a cap with teeth as soon as possible.

We urge taxpayers to lobby their legislators on this issue.

Without spending controls, your state taxes will continue to go up every year as long as Democrats are in charge.
