Sen. Hwang Spotlights Fairfield’s Crowley as Outstanding Veteran

In this month’s Veteran Salute, Sen. Tony Hwang interviews 94-year-old Fairfield resident Ed Crowley Sr.

Crowley is a World War II veteran who served in the 82nd Airborne Division. As a paratrooper, Crowley jumped into Normandy, France on D-Day, June 6, 1944.

“It truly is a privilege for me to be able to sit down with Ed and to talk with him about his amazing life experiences,” Sen. Hwang said. “Ed is an inspiration to me and to so many in Fairfield. He is an American hero who loves this country, and I hope area residents will enjoy this discussion as much as I did.”
