East Haven Clinic Closing

Yale New Haven Health System is planning to shut down its East Haven Urgent Care Clinic, located on Foxon Road.

Next week the public will have a chance to weigh in on the decision. The state Office of Health Care Access (OHCA) will be holding a public hearing on September 28th at 4:00 pm at East Haven High School 35 Wheelbarrow Lane, Room S 106.

The hearing is open to all public to attend.

I am glad the Office of Health Care Access (OHCA) is conducting a full Certificate of Need (CON) review of this proposed closure, including a public hearing – which is a very important part of the process to carefully examine the impact these closures will have on access to care for local patients. The East Haven location provides urgent care as well as occupation health and radiology services.
