Sen. Kane, Sen. Martin Honor Civil Air Patrol Cadets at Capitol

Sen. Rob Kane (far left) and Sen. Henri Martin (second from left) place their hands over their hearts as cadets from the Civil Air Patrol enter the State Capitol’s historic Senate Chamber on May 20. The senators, who are honorary majors in the Civil Air Patrol, welcomed the cadets to the State Capitol and thanked them for their service. The Civil Air Patrol is the official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, a nonprofit organization that has 57,000 members nationwide. Cadets are taught military drills and ceremony, and learn about flight. Sen. Kane represents Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Middlebury, Oxford, Roxbury, Seymour, Southbury, Washington, Watertown and Woodbury. Sen.
