April is Connecticut’s Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month
Federal law ensures that all students with disabilities receive an appropriate public education at no cost to the family. There are some great local and statewide resources for families to tap into. I hope you will share them with others.
Norwalk Pediatric Development and Therapy Center provides specialized care for children with developmental and behavioral needs in one location.
The Center was created through a partnership with Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Program. For more information or to make an appointment at the Center, please call 203-853-2342.
In Wilton and other towns in our district there are wonderful and supportive groups that serve our children such as the Special Services Parent Advisory Board which can guide you, especially when making plans for your 3-5 years old special needs child.
