Honoring Young Leaders in Service

The 31 Leos from the Shoreline Leo Club and Senator Paul M. Formica at their community service award ceremony hosted by the Lions Clubs International.

Hartford, CT – State Senator Paul M. Formica (R-East Lyme) congratulates the winners of the Shoreline Leo Club. The group of 31- East Lyme and Salem students were honored today for their community service contributions and received the Lions Clubs International Young Leaders in Service Awards.

“I am so proud of these students for their volunteer commitment to the community. Giving back to your friends and neighbors is a great feeling,” said Sen. Formica.

The Leos who received awards included:

Gold Award for over 100 volunteer hours achieved last year– Robert Alden, Amanda Callegari, Paul Chang, Du Chen, Melissa Chen, Christopher Cicchiello, Emerson Cole, Ashwin Menon, Kenan Johnson, Ashish Joshi, Jason LaBonte, Matthew LaRose, Akash Mishra, Daniel Munch, Emily Tan, Sukriti Thomas, Sushant Thomas, Sarah White, Jeffrey Yapchanyk.

Silver Award for 50-100 volunteer hours achieved last year– Andrew Alden, Davon Chen, Jonathon Keens, Mukesh Kurumbail, Ellen Littlefield, Lucy Littlefield, Jack McDonald, Suryansh Patel, Jake Rowe, Danny Sitko, Gabrielle Villa, Lily Zhong.
