Hartford, CT – State Senator Paul Formica (R-East Lyme) released the following statement today re: Republican’s plan to Prioritize Transportation Progress for Connecticut during the next 30 years.

“Our plan essentially doubles monies spent on transportation without one cent of new tax revenue, the installation of tolls or increasing projected deficits. This empowers the Department of Transportation to do their job, which they do well.

“Bonding over time with a ceiling in mind will enable priorities to be funded and will reduce the state’s annual operating budget by lowering principal and interest payments. This plan forces the state to live within its means and doesn’t burden taxpayers.”
