Chris Healy to Join Senate Republican Office
December 30, 2014Hartford – The Connecticut Senate Republican Caucus will expand outreach efforts with the addition of a new Communications and Policy Analyst. Christopher Healy will join the Senate Republican Office in this new role beginning the week of January 5, 2015 to coincide with the start of the legislative session.
“Chris Healy’s extensive experience in politics will help our caucus better communicate policy ideas and foster open dialogue with a large group of constituents statewide,” said Senator Len Fasano (R-North Haven), incoming Senate Minority Leader. “The legislative process only works when there is open and frequent communication between lawmakers and the public. As our caucus continues to grow, so do our policy ideas, and so does the need to communicate these fresh ideas with people across the state. As Communications and Policy Analyst, Mr. Healy will help us direct this growth into strong messaging and robust outreach efforts.”
Chris Healy is an accomplished community leader, writer, strategist and public relations professional with experience in many different areas of local, state and federal government. From 2007-2011, Healy served as the Connecticut Republican Party chairman. In this position he implemented modern outreach efforts to reach a new generation and communicate Republican policy ideas.
“I look forward to working with our state’s dedicated Republican senators and identifying new ways to widen communication channels with the public,” said Healy.
Healy is currently a member of the World Affairs Council, and has served as a board member of various non-profits in the Hartford area.
Healy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Denison University. A native of New York City, Healy currently resides in Wethersfield with his wife Suzan.
