Bethel Scouts Travel to State Capitol; Meet Sen. McLachlan

Sen. Michael McLachlan (left) on Feb. 26 welcomed Ruby Sage-Robison (right) and members of Bethel Cadette Troop 50344 to the State Capitol to mark the annual “Girl Scout Day at the Capitol” ceremonies. Ruby’s mother, Jenipher Sage-Robison (center), accompanied Troop 50344 to Hartford. According to the Girl Scout Website, “the Girl Scout program can change the way girls see the world and their place in it. Girls learn the importance of personal responsibility, the value of goal-setting, the spirit of teamwork, and the thrill of accomplishment.”
