Prospect Kids Receive Popsicle Party After Giving Back

Hartford, CT – State Senator Joe Markley (R-Southington) and Representative Lezlye Zupkus (R-Prospect) visited students and staff at the Algonquin School in Prospect this week. Their visit was focused on awarding the children with a popsicle party. Students at the elementary school collected a tremendous amount of canned goods during the holiday season. The food was donated to the Waterbury food bank. The legislators presented the school principal with an official General Assembly citation congratulating the students and staff on their great accomplishment in helping to better the community around them.
