Hartford, CT – State Senator Joe Markley (R-Southington) recently honored the 100th Anniversary of the Ladies Auxiliary in Waterbury by joining them in a flag raising ceremony. The Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars was established nearly 100 years ago in 1914. The members of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars set out to serve the veterans of this country and our communities in honor of the sacrifices and commitment of every man and woman who has served in uniform. In Waterbury there are two very active groups; Brooklyn Valley Auxiliary 7790 and Lt. Shea Auxiliary to Wheeler-Young 201.
