Area high school students from Clinton attended a Leadership Encourages Asset Development (LEAD) conference June 27 at First Baptist Church of Branford. Students from Branford, Chester, Deep River, East Haven, Essex, East Haddam, Haddam, Killingworth, Madison, Durham/Middlefield and Westbrook also attended.

The morning included an interactive panel with Senator Art Linares, Alicia Farrell from Clearview Consulting, Madison Police Officer Phil Rosati, Social Worker Kate Antonucci, and MADE in Madison’s Catherine Barden. During the afternoon, students broke out into separate boys and girls groups for discussions about topics like body image, relationships and communicating.

The collaborative conversation and learning experience was organized by Partners in Community.
