HARWINTON — For the second time since devastating tornadoes struck Oklahoma in May, John DiCostanzo is preparing to load up a truck full of donations and drive it there.
Donations can be dropped off at 200 Birge Park Road, Suite 4 today from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday from 7 a.m. to noon.
DiCostanzo and two of his friends who are Newtown natives, Howard Wood and Peter Barresi, decided to start collecting donations after they saw the outpouring of support in Connecticut after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings last year. Barresi still lives in Newtown, where he is a firefighter.
