Sen. Art Linares on May 16 joined with about 60 members of the Council of Small Towns (COST) for a legislative briefing at the State Capitol. Sen. Linares has been pushing for policies which would prevent tax hikes and which provide towns with relief from burdensome state mandates. COST (www.ctcost.org) is an advocacy organization committed to giving small towns a strong voice in the legislative process. Its members are Connecticut towns with populations of less than 30,000.
