The company (www.gdeb.com) was among dozens of Connecticut manufacturers to display their products and services to state legislators.

“Thousands of local jobs are connected to the production of nuclear powered submarines at General Dynamics Electric Boat,” Sen. Linares said. “I am working to pass policies which improve Connecticut’s business climate and help our job creators thrive. Innovative companies like General Dynamics Electric Boat drive our economy and play major roles in the well-being of our communities. Their message needs to be heard here at the State Capitol.”

Nearly 4,500 manufacturing companies in Connecticut generate more than $13 billion in wages and salaries for their employees each year.

Sen. Linares, 24, serves on the legislature’s Commerce Committee and the bipartisan Manufacturing Committee. He co-founded a successful small business when he was 19 years old.
