Several local youth groups, including the Morgan Peer Advocates, on May 1 visited the State Capitol as part of the Connecticut Youth Services Association’s Seventh Annual Youth Service Bureau Day at the Capitol.

Upon their arrival, youth services groups from Clinton, Colchester, Deep River, Haddam, Old Saybrook, and Portland were welcomed by Sen. Art Linares.

“It was great to meet with student leaders from our area,” Sen. Linares said. “They saw their government in action as we debate issues which impact their lives, such as school safety, the environment, and public health. I thank the students and their teachers for visiting, and I know they will continue stay involved and active in their communities.”
