Local Student gets scholarship

Hartford, CT – State Senator Tony Guglielmo (R-Stafford) joined William Moriarty and his father at the 2013 Comcast Connecticut Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Ceremony at the State Capitol in Hartford. Moriarty is a Tolland High School student and will receive a $1,000 scholarship from Comcast Cable Company. The Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program is a program for high school seniors who have demonstrated leadership skills, academic achievement and a commitment to community service. Since 2001, the program has recognized more than 13,300 students around the country and given away more than $13.4 million in scholarship grants.
