Granby – State Senator Kevin Witkos (R-8) and State Representative Bill Simanski (R-62) provided a legislative and budget update to Granby residents at the Board of Selectmen meeting on Monday, April 15th.

“With the 2013 legislative session currently underway, I believe it is important to keep you updated with all of the proposals that are being considered,” said Senator Witkos. “Over the next few months, the next two-year state budget will be developed and your input is very valuable for legislators during this time. As a member of the Finance Committee, I will be working against tax increases and pushing for a reduced level of spending to get out state back on the right track. I would like to thank everyone who joined us this evening.”

Senator Witkos and Representative Simanski joined the local officials and constituents to discuss the 2013 legislative session, including the proposed state budget and the potential impact on municipal government.
