Sen. Art Linares on April 17 participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony and facility tour at Westbrook-based Lee Company’s new Industrial Microhydraulics Group.

The company’s IMH Group, located at 22 Pequot Park Road, creates components to accommodate the high-volume production, performance and cost requirements of automotive, industrial hydraulic and medical applications – while maintaining Lee’s high standards in quality, reliability and customer service.

“We appreciate Senator Linares’ participation at the ribbon cutting of our new facility,” Lee Co. President and Chief Executive Officer Bill Lee said. “We also appreciate his efforts to improve the climate in Connecticut for businesses, especially manufacturers. As a company that has added over 100 well-paying jobs in Connecticut in the past few years, we know all about adapting to challenging conditions. We particularly appreciate Senator Linares efforts to keep state spending under control and to rationalize the tax system to promote our Connecticut economy.”

Following the ribbon cutting ceremony and tour, Linares presented an official state citation to Lee employees.

“At the State Capitol, we need to be doing all we can to improve the state’s business environment to allow successful companies like Lee Co. to continue to thrive,” Sen. Linares said. “I thank Lee Co. management and employees for the warm welcome, and I look forward to future visits. I want them to know they have a partner up in Hartford who is working for them.”
