State Sen. Kevin Witkos To Hold Forum On Gun Control Measures In Canton [Hartford Courant]

CANTON —— A forum where residents of Canton and the other communities in the state’s 8th Senate District can speak about the gun control measures pending in the legislature will be on March 25.

The forum is being held by state Sen. Kevin Witkos, who represents that district, and it will be from 5 to 11 p.m. in the auditorium of Canton High School. In a statement announcing the event, Witkos said he is holding the event in order to hear from constituents about what gun control measures they would like to see.

“While there are many important issues facing the state legislature today, it is clear that many constituents have concerns over the current proposals to prevent gun violence that are currently under consideration,” said Senator Witkos. “After receiving thousands of emails on the subject, I want to bring my office directly to the community so I can hear your thoughts and concerns firsthand.”
